Won I’ll say again, that STINKS. I think it is our unexpected storm that you will be getting tomorrow. It dumped on us. We don’t usually see this much. I know you don’t need any extra.

We are holding our breath down here now. It IS going to turn to rain later this afternoon or evening. The question is will it be rain that washes away the snow or freezing rain that adds a layer of ice on top and brings down more trees and power lines?

It surely does stink! Being from NY, I am a bit jaded when it comes to heavy snowfalls. But, folks around here are NOT used to this… There is just NO snow removal program in place, and power lines are down, and one really surprising thing… There have been a LOT of roof collapses due to the weight of several feet of wet, heavy snow.

Ugh, that three week wait sucks Won. Shouldn’t the surgeon have insisted you be given priority and have the other electives be bumped? It’s not like you caused the delay.

It is sleeting now. I just went out to knock the snow off my car and now it is sleeting. I thought at first it was rain but it isn’t. There is something hard in it.

Hiya JOSIE, That IS with a priority!!! I had scheduled the O.R. for today, 2 months ago!!! lol lol… The thing I really don’t like is all the Morphine and Oxycodone I have been taking for 2 1/2 months… I might have a real bear of a problem weaning off of the stuff… Ironsos, one of the collapses was in Fairfax, it was the dang FIREHOUSE!!! the crews moved in on a neighboring house and thought, gee, maybe we should inspect this roof as well… Guess what? They evacuated that house too because the roof was buckling!!

I agree with the morphine and oxycodon, Won…scary to take it too long. I never could tolerate it. Made me sleep too deep (death-like) so my ob stopped it after a couple of doses(that was even half strength!) post-emergency surgery years ago. Do pain clinics here (USA) offer sensory regional blocks on an outpatient basis? That’s an alternative to pain management that won’t be addicting.

Non-priority must take about 6 months? Eeeep.

My best friend lives in Fairfax. I better call her and ask how they are doing.

Minxie, I get pure liquid Oxycodone in a plastic bottle with an eyedropper built into the cap. I squirt one dropperfull into a bottle of Diet Pepsi… I call it “Oxy-Cola”… 15 mins after drinking it I feel NO PAIN for 12 hrs!!!

Well, It may take until the first of March to get your insurance company straightened out.And perhaps there won’t be any snow then, either. Anyway, I hope it all works out without too much stress and drama. ;)

Mid-afternoon doldrums are just setting in, but I have too much to do today to succumb to them. ;)

I also wondered why I wasn’t getting any of the alerts from CC. I checked and I had never downloaded messenger from when I redid my computer. It’s beginning to look normal now. Just need to get something for my background.

Lady Hawke Didn’t you just tell me the other day you weren’t going to get any snow? We have more predicted coming in tonight. We might not be as lucky as we have for the last two snowfalls.

I guess Mistic is snowbound. I hope she has electricity. It would be nice if they would free the computer for her to tell us she is ok. I think I will call her tonight to find out. Now where did I put her number? I hope I wrote it down on paper or in my address book or it is gone like so many other things.

All Federal Gov’t offices were shut down today… So mebbe that is why we did not hear from her…

So true, ironsos. Though it has snowed most of the past two days – just not a whole lot of accumulations. I don’t see how it’s snowed for so long and we probably only have 4 or so inches.

So sad. I knew a message like that wouldn’t be good news.

I’m back in for the night. Schools are not closed yet but the temperature seems to have dropped below freezing and is falling and icy rain/sleet is falling and accumulating on the windows of cars that had been cleared earlier today. That does not bode well.

We are expecting snow here. I am so tired of snow….can’t it be Spring soon?
