It really is!
o.o
In a kinda terrifying way..
I put bugglesauce on chocolate covered grasshoppers.
Oh really, Laura? How’s that going for you?
I’m assuming the salty sauce really works with the chocolate..
Yeah, it’s just when the pieces of chitin get caught in my teeth that I have a problem.
that’s what toothpicks are for
here, I’m removing the toothpicks propping up my eyelids… you can use them, LEW
*watches Huff’s eyelids fall…off!

Hi all! All caught up for today.
Sending a big warm hug to Wolfie. Sending lots of love and prayers your way!
Also sending a big festive hug to our MIA Headmistress on her day!
Night all! I just came on to catch up on today’s posts so tomorrow I wouln’t be so behind. Today’s been a looong day! (Mondays…) I’m happy to be heading to bed :)
BBT!
Good Morning Everyone
Where is everybody? I can’t be the first poster this morning.
It’s still snowing. It started last night and is still going strong. We already have more than we got the other day. What’s up with all this snow? We have already had more than last year.
I’m going to work as long as the computer still works. The DS is sleeping. He stayed up really late last night because he knew he wasn’t going to work today.
NO SCHOOL TODAY
I didn’t have to get up and get my daughter ready for school. The DS just finished with the computer and left.
The DS brought home a lifetime supply of zuchini (courgettes) yesterday. So, I will spend my day at home with my daughter doing laundry and making zuchini lasagna. I will save a few to make zuchini, onion and mushroom kabobs.
I probably will have some left even after “saving” some for the kabobs. He gets carried away sometimes and zuchini is really at its best fresh. Even my canning books indicate canning or freezing is not the best method to deal with zuchini. You need to eat it when it is fresh.
So, I have a job cut out for me. At least it showed up on a day that I am going to be home anyway.
Aloha! ;)
I will be at the reception desk most of the day. One woman did not come in and the other is leaving for a few hours to go to the dentist. ;)
BbwIc. ;)
I have heard from Headmistress Lemonfaerie. She had a rather blah day, especially for a birthday, nothing wrong, nothing right, and just way too busy. She wanted me to tell you how much she appreciated the birthday wishes. She said opening her email was one of the only bright spots in her day. She misses everyone.
Morning all! We had a cheery morning but we just had some light grey clouds pass over, however, I think the blue sky is going to win. It is rather chilly. I have spent a couple of hours with my neighbour in my usual role of safety valve. She has being doing a heroic job of nursing her mother unaided for the past year. I think I am going to slump in front of the TV.
Lady Hawke I moan at my DS if he brings home two pizzas on special offer, lol! Your DS needs to be discouraged from these bursts of thrift. Bbl.
I have an enormous casserole filled to capacity with zuchini lasagna in the oven. As predicted I still have approximately 8 zuchini left to deal with. I can use a couple of them on kabobs but I need to figure out something to do with the rest.
Graymayne My DS has an uncontrollable passion for bringing me “good deals”. He presents them to me and walks away, very proud of himself. It was fortunate I had today to deal with the zuchini. If I am busy out of the house all week he will pester me to “not let it go to waste”. At that point I want to pick up whatever he brought home to me and “brain” him with it.
I also hate when he brings me enormous items that must be fit into the freezer. He forgets he is constantly bringing me things that must be fit into the freezer. It is FULL. Just because the freezer is large does not mean it can’t be FULL. He believes all excess can be “thrown in the freeze”. NOT IF IT IS FULL.
Can you tell this is a sore subject?
G’mornin’! (well, more like g’day… it’s past 1pm)
I hope you are all faring well today! This is just a quick pop-in from work.
BBL!
Lady Hawke You could threaten him with just going out and buying another freezer and presenting him with the bill. it would be no bigger surprise for him than his wonderful surprises to you.
Of course, that could backfire. It may encourage him to bring home even more “great deals”. ;)
I am finally back at my on desk.
While up front, in addition to handling all the phone calls, I got my late notices addressed and stuffed into envelopes, ready to go out, and I managed to fold 7 or 8 cranes. (I’m still working on the 1,000 cranes for GinO and her DS.) And I sorted the incoming mail and handled the two that were for me. ;)
It was a fairly productive morning, but the chair at that desk leaves much to be desired and I am actually tired out just from dealing with the chair. ;)
Off to check my other sites. bbl. ;)
My own desk, not my on desk… ;)
Morning all!. Will be sort of just hanging around today. Will be in and out of the apt. doing stuff.
Good afternoon, Leaky. Not much to report but wanted to say hi. I finally checked something off my “To Do” list yesterday. That was exciting. Put a few more things on it today. That wasn’t quite so exciting. I hope everyone is having a good Tuesday!
Good evening!
LEW, congratulations! I hope you had a drink to celebrate! (And never mind the things added to the list, that’s always going to be endless….)
Lady Hawke, it’s not often I feel lucky that my DS doesn’t know how food magically appears on the table, but I wouldn’t know what to do with an enormous “present” of fresh veggies. I’d be tempted to give him a plate full of sauteed courgettes for his tea, and nothing else!
My DS and son have gone to watch their football team. I think they are insane, it’s freezing out there. Still, I will follow the score on the website, and be a supportive wife and mother from a distance!
Asti I am grateful that my DS does not present me with fresh produce very often. He only does that when a patient brings it to him and insists he take some home. he shares the excess with his coworkers. I am also grateful that he is not a sports fanatic. He follows a few teams and he is generally aware of NASCAR, but he does not insist on going out to actually watch any of it llive.
Of course, your DS might not be so enthusiastic if your son was not there or was not interested. You can always just consider it their male bonding time and take Princess Pink Ninja off to shop for fairy wings (or nunchuks). ;)
Finally! It’s about twenty past 3:00. I can see the end of the day approaching. ;)
asti, I didn’t have a drink, I went to bed. Much more rewarding in the long run. Who’s your boys’ team? I watched the Chelsea/Arsenal game Sunday morning – I pull for Chelsea so it’s good to see them back on top of the Premier League!
LEW, I didn’t know you were into English football! My boys support Southampton. (Nicknamed “Saints” another reason for the DS suppoting New Orleans in the SuperBowl, lol!) They’re playing in a regional final tonight. If they win, they’ll play the national final at Wembley. They’ve done very badly in recent years, and dropped two divisions. They’re finally playing with a bit of life this year, after nearly going bust. And they’re winning 2 – 0, just before halftime!! Yes, I know, tmi, lol!!! Why is Chelsea your team?
Deanie, Both DS and son enjoy sports. It’s not often I’m called on to actively participate, for which I’m very grateful!! I have to admit, when they’re there, watching it live, I do care passionately that their team should win, it gets personal! My DS has been a fan of Southampton all his life, and has converted most of the neighbours children. Most kids support the big teams. My DS has a little enclave of Saints fans, lol!
Good afternoon Leaky friends.
Had an incredibly busy morning. I didn’t see too many people but they all wanted to talk and some of the talk was very interesting. :D I never cease to be amazed by the myriad and creative ways people have of messing up their lives. LOL
Anyway, I am off to lunch. Lots of errands to run. BBL
O.o fascinating…
