Work is really stepping up the pace for Christmas. You can’t move in the warehouse. It is chaotic, but just about in hand at this stage. Tomorrow, the turkeys arrive………hysterical laughter……….

I just spent an hour on the phone with my Mum. They have been away, so this was the first chance I had to break our news. I can take sympathy and concern from anyone but my Mum. The tissue box suffered.
BUT the really good news is we are seeing them, and also my sister and her BF, next Thursday. I am very much looking forward to that. I haven’t seen my parents that close to Christmas since I was 19.

PB and Adella, how lovely to see you both! I had a lot of fun reading your antics. Nice to see some mayhem again. xx

Okay, everyone, DR LEW and I are trying to meet for lunch. The trick is she has a 5.5 hour drive to get here. The highway has a lot of construction on it which could hold her up. So, we are holding our breaths. She is going to try to fit me in between her arrival in town and picking her parents up at the airport.

Glad I left town a day early. Apparently the Interstate is closed west AND east of town. I would have been stuck. (though being snowed in with the BF for Christmas doesn’t sound THAT bad…)

MM I cant believe that you’re getting tearful about the return of the mean ungrateful ‘young un’s’ who have been too busy to talk to us for months and months (but I notice not too busy to wreck our beautiful christmas castle and get icecream all over the couch . . honestly that stuff is never going to come off) . . .when you have our youngest (and cutest) ‘young un’ here every day, sitting around picking lice out of his fur, eating bananas and just waiting, hopefully for one kind word from you, one sugared cinnamon cookie . . .but NO, the only thanks he ever gets for his faithful lovingness is a rock hard cookie bouncing off the top of his head.

I know that previously we’ve threated to leave and go to Mugglenet, but this really is too much . . . we feel we cant remain in the HP fandom any longer and we’re off to become Twilight fans.

Sooooooo, we’re back . . . .well, we went to meet our new Twilight family . . . did you know that in the Twilight castle they let the vampires and werewolves roam free? Seriously where is the health and safety? werewolves eat people! Harry would never do that! Even beastie can be relied on not to eat us.

so . . . we decided its safer to move back into our castle for the timebeing . . . . mm if you want us to stay for ever you will have to make us the biggest batch of cookies ever . . .we want enough cookies to fill up the swimming pool so we can have our own personal cookie pool party. Oh and I want lots of sugar on the cookies . . . elmo said he wants a pinch of cinammon . . . and maybe a little bit of the left over icecream from the party . . . . and some smores too?

Also, didn’t I tell Dr. Lew to keep the snow in Kansas???

Here is a story that I’m adding to my school stories book. A mother called us to let us know that her child was not coming to school on Friday. She was keeping her home to pray with the family as the world ended. She proceeded to tell us that it was unfortunate that the district had chosen NOT to close the schools so that ALL the children could do the same. :(
When we were confused she said the Mayan’s had predicted our Apacolyptic End this Friday. O.O. :/

MM my sister and I were planning an end of the world tea party tomorrow evening to celebrate the end of the Mayan calendar but now she has to work . .. we decided that if the world really does end then we wanted to make sure we faced it with a slice of cake in our hands.

I might suggest to my boss that we are all given the day off tomorrow to prepare for the worst :-)

BTW – i received a beautiful wooden carved tree decoration in the post yesterday. The envelope had a US postmark on it but there was no letter or card or anything inside so I havent a clue who sent it? its stunning though and as I’m not having a tree this year (I’ve been working away the last 2 weeks, visiting friends at the weekend and am only home today and tomorrow so it didnt seem worth it) It has pride of place hanging from my mantlepiece

Wolfie Your mysterious benefactor would most likely have been Mr. Deanie ‘cos I have one as well. Lovely aren’t they? I now have a Kindle Fire and I am still struggling with it:( I can at least console myself with a portable game of Solitaire on the device:)
