I love lobster (Maine) but like LH I don’t like to cook ’em live… I prefer getting frozen tails and broiling them with drawn butter, & serving with a big fat baked potato & sour cream & chives…GAWD, I am drooling just thinking about it…

The car is repaired and my DS did some minimal shopping and also picked up some prescription pills for me from the medical centre. I have been taking less medication than I should since Wednesday of last week because I wasn’t prepared to ask my friend to pick them up and my DS would find the six mile round trip on foot just a bit too much. I have been taking life very quietly, apart from the funeral to try and compensate. Tomorrow we are taking my friend and her companion out to dinner as a thank you for their kindness in taking us to the funeral and back. This is a new small restaurant set up by a chef as his first independent place and it is only open in the evenings. It doesn’t have a website, but we have read good reviews of the food and the service.

Graymayne You sound like me when I start rationing my meds because I need someone to pick them up for me. I don’t ration them, I just wait a little longer each day before I take them. That way they will last a little longer until I can pick them up from the pharmancy myself.

Today no snow like they were predicting but it has rained. I decided to get the trash outside early just in case it started pouring again. The temperature sure is dropping so the snow just might come.

I went thru my book list looking for 3 books I wanted to reread. Only found one. It is hard since I never remember the name. The only thing I had to go by was that two of them were three bought by the same author. So I checked every book that had the same author name together but that did not work. Now I will have to go thru my emails and find the ones I had actually paid for. Since both are the 3rd book by the author, I had to buy them and did not get them for free.

Good evening!

My Mum had her injections into her spinal cord today; an attempt to relieve her acute pain. There is less than 50% chance that this will work, but it is her only option. I spoke to her an hour or so ago, and she sounded bright and quite perky. I hope she continues to be without unpleasant side effects.
She was TOLD to retire by her consultant…….her life now is supposed to be very gentle, with no stresses or strains upon her back. She has been in such pain for so long.
Neither me or my sister are able to go to them this weekend. The moving/packing process is very much on hold. My sister and I are somehow going to have to take control.

Ironsos, it will be before long!

LEW, ditto. xx

I have spent the day packing more boxes at my parent’s apartment and waiting eternally on hold to change the service location for their cable dish and their phone service. I also changed their address on their credit card. Then we loaded the car with boxes and dropped them by the house. I also moved my mother’s table top toaster oven to the new house.

ASTI, if you and your sister are going to do this you had best get on it. I feel as if all I have done for months is move my parents. In truth I have pretty much been at it a year. Between the original packing and unpacking and repacking and unpacking it is going to essentially have been more than a year. This is not a fast or easy process.

Thanks HUFFLEBUG, I need that. I’m afraid to drink in real life now since I’m afraid I’m going to get a phone call requiring me to make a midnight run to my parent’s place. I only have to get through tomorrow night and they will be across the street. If I’ve had a drink I think I can manage to cross the street.

LEW that sounds like a song lyric!

Alas I need to get to bed. I’m leaving out a whole bunch of auto refilling pitchers, feel free to fill them with your fave concoction!
