I am feeling exhausted due to the end of the year huge amount of work. I rested yesterday and I’m resting again today. I feel very tired. I’m sure that I will get over it. I’m taking tomorrow off to babysit my grandbaby. So I will be okay.

The DS is recovering from the bone graft to her jaw in preperation for the dental implants. I have told her she needs to check out leaky, but she says she should and never gets around to it. I think I have one more week to work and then will be off til July. Which means I can get back in my man cave and make some saw dust again.

I am tired. I mowed the side yard but the back yard is already too far gone. Someone will have to do it for me. It will probably need to be weed eated which as usual just gets it twice a season. I think my daughter has my gas one. Her friend took it to repair it because something was wrong after they did it last year. I ask her if she got it back and she said it was at her house. So maybe one of these days she’ll bring it back and do the back yard. She did it last year.

I did look in the storage room to try to find something to clip my rose bushes. I think Jennifer took them home with her last year too to do her yard. She did do the rose bushes last year too. I can’t bend over too long or I get dizzy. So after I did my rose bushes I was done for today. I wanted to get the dead limbs off because they will be blooming in a couple of weeks. I need to clean my front porch off. The dogs have made a mess of it over the winter. I was looking for my soft brush that I use to clean the siding but it is lost. I did ask my son-in-law if he had it but I guess it was one of the things they left behind when they moved me.

Ironsos My daughter has a beagle that looks like your avatar. I should look at my daughters pictures to see if I can find one. I get a lot of their pictures when they put their memory cards in the computer and just let it copy all of their pictures. We are always in a hurry when we do this so they don’t take time to just transfer the ones I want. I never delete any of their pictures either.

It must be getting really warm outside. I am sweating up a storm now that I have come inside. I did not sweat while I was outside. I wonder why that is.

MM I worry about you every time things get busy at your school. You always work too hard.

Good evening!

More overtime for me tomorrow. That puts me up to 42 hours for the week, and working 6 days in a row. I am looking forward to the weekend!

I’ve just had a long ’phone conversation with my parents. Both still sound really happy. I am so relieved they are settling in so well.

CoolG, thankyou for your concern……Kids can be so odd! The girl is still ignoring my daughter, but her other friends seem to be treating it all in a very mature way; daughter has other friends and a lot of support, and they are all dealing with it well. Daughter is still a bit upset at the situation, but says she is “getting used to it.”

Graymayne, I hadn’t seen that, thanks. I’ll look at iplayer.

Mr Deanie, thanks for the update. Please pass on my love, and I hope you enjoy being back in your man cave soon!!

It’s great to hear from the Deanie household… I’ve been concerned having not heard from her for so long. I sure hope she has much better luck with her implants than I did!

Just watched “Blast from the past” again. It and “Father goose” are pretty much my favorite guilty pleasure movies.

GRAYMAYNE, I thought you might find this interesting, a tornado in action in Tunica on an observation camera.

So good to see you, WOLFIE, come back and tell us some more stories.

MR DEANIE, thanks for keeping us in the loop. Carry a computer to DEANIE, bring up Leaky and put it in front of her.

ASTI, we all know the situation is the other girl’s loss. Like my daughter, I know your daughter feels the loss of someone she thought was a friend. I’m glad the others have come round and are acting properly.

IRONSOS, I LOVE “Father Goose”. It is one of those movies I can watch when I need to feel safe and happy. There are several Cary Grant movies, Audrey Hepburn movies and Katherine Hepburn movies that fall into that category.

I took a day off and I baby sat my grandson. It was a glorious warm day and I had a great time. Although I worked hard running after the baby it was not mentally or as physically exhausting as work. I actually feel rested and ready to face tomorrow.

The baby was adorable. We went to the neighborhood park. He played on the swings and play gym. We brought a pic nic and we sat on a blanket to eat it, he was so much fun to be with. It was a great break from my work routine. Well worth one of my sick days. :D

Lady Hawke That was an astonishing piece of film! Now I can understand why homes are reduced to piles of matchwood. I will try not to complain about UK weather in future.

I am taking a break. I have been sweeping the house. For some reason sweeping and mopping give me a back ach. I need to clean off the counters again. They are beginning to look really cluttered.

It is raining. What do you call it when it is barely raining? I have been out in it twice already. My neighbor was at the mail boxes and was honking her car. I went out and she told me I had a package on the mailbox. I guess I was in the back when the postman came by. Anyway that was nice of her. I remember that I do the same when a package has been left on top of her mailbox. Just don trust the kids in the neitghborhood today. They will just take it and if it’s not something they want, they will just throw it away.

Sprinkling…..Wow it takes me so long to think of a word.

I need to fix my gate. I have looked online to maybe buy a new one but I could probably repair mine easier than having someone put a new one up for me.

MM Glad you had a good day with your grandson. I have one grandson that loved to spend the night with me. We would watch scary movies together. That lasted until he grew up and started watching movies with girlfriends. He still is the most loving of my grandsons.

Good evening!

I’ve been and gone and FINALLY got my hair cut. I really like it. Just as well really, considering what I paid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like this woman very much, and I like how she cuts my hair. She has recently moved from a small salon on the edge of town to a new, shiny High Street “spa,” and now describes herself as “salon director,” so I was expecting a price hike, but…………….£41!

I’ve also been and gone and taken more overtime for this Sunday. I have pound signs flashing in front of my eyes.

Won, I have to be nosy………how is it going with you and Sally?

Cool G – drizzling?

It poured here. All the kids were coming in to the school soaking wet. The bridge in the Street going to work flooded. I had to go around and arrived late to work. But I was so relaxed from my day off with the baby it didn’t phase me at all. LOL! I am home relaxing and I’m going to enjoy my Mother’s Day weekend!

It drizzled here yesterday but it is sunny with banking clouds now. I am doing laundry and my mother is doing laundry. We are trying to go to a movie later. My DS and daughter want to see the new Spiderman. I need to see my friend’s DS’s movie, 50 to 1. My mother said she would go with me.

I have ribs to BBQ tonight and my veggies are cooked. I have a package of bacon wrapped, cheese stuffed jalapeño peppers which can roast in the same oven with the ribs. So, dinner is almost ready when we get home.

Winter storm warning for areas south and east of Salt Lake City. Will most likely just get a lot of rain here.

Ironsos How can you have a winter storm when it is officially springtime on March 21st?

The cooking terms article was good but familiar because we have discussed these terms here on a regular basis. I was glad to have the term Canadian bacon cleared up though. It is the cut I use (back bacon), but I like it smoked.

Graymayne: This is a cold storm coming from the northwest. It has to do with conditions rather
than timing. Snow in excess of 12 inches/30 centimeters. is a major reason. This will occur
in the mountains of eastern and central Utah. This is a rather late date for this type of storm.

Look at the next few days in Cedar City to get an idea of spring in Utah.

Good evening.

I am very tired, and am not looking forward to the week ahead. I think I need more than one day off a week!

We watched The Eurovision Song Contest last night…….. Lots of giggles as usual. We give each song points out of 10. The political voting was very interesting this year, given the situation with Russia and Ukraine. There were some serious moments in the evening.

Both kids have exams starting tomorrow. Son has his AS Levels, that will count as points towards University admission, and daughter has SATS. Daughters tests are of more import to the reputation of the school than to her, the teachers are putting them under a lot of of pressure.

Won, I am truly sorry to hear that. My best wishes to you both. xx
