I have to do a Bob the Builder party in 3 weeks and a Power Ranger party in 5 weeks with Halloween in 4 weeks….

Phew! OK. I was at least able to get back to it through the history, I have a bad habit of deleting that frequently so will have to remember not to for a bit, until I get the last 30 pages trasnferred over. (That should only take about a month, right???)

Ok, Lady Hawke an HP themed party… (rubbing hands together with glee) let me put my thinking cap on and get back to you. It may take a bit longer than usual as the DS has rather inconveniently chosen to take this entire week off work and he is making noises about me being on here so much, but I will do what I can. Off to think on it!

I really am hoping for some more details on the marauders and lily! i love this subject so much!!!:]

I want several things. 1. Backstory on Lily, James and Marauders 2. not religion, but more on her views of spirituality and how they apply both to the story and to the process of writing: for example, HP could just a fun, clever story, but I suspect it was inspired or at least helped along through divine guidance.

I know this is off subject but….they are going to remake “Karate Kid”. How in the world are they going to pull that one off???

korey1979 I have just one question regarding remaking the Karate Kid: WHY?!? I mean, I like the original (which is not THAT old) but its not like one I want to watch over and over. What is the point? They will probably redo it to up the violence and who needs to see more of that? Does this mean we are in for remakes of all teh 80’s brat pack era movies? Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, on and on? I hope not. Where did you hear about this? Do they already have people casted and everything? Ugh. What a waste of film, IMO.

I read on hollywood.com the Will Smith is going to direct it. As for why all I can figure is that they have run out of ideas.

I’d love to hear a bit about all of these things (yes, I’m greedy; I want it all!) I’d also love to hear more backstory on the founders. :)

I voted for anything on the trio. (Or “main set” as they called it.) Although if she were to talk about “anything HP” I would not care, I would listen. :)

Harriett- I am glad to your doing pretty good. It starting to get pretty cold at night over here. I wish summer weren’t almost over!

I must say I really sort of hate it when polls change. Those of us who live hear don’t really need a new question to spark conversation. Although apparently we can still access the previous poll it makes it harder to get to and I was happy the way we were.

I also had not caught up from last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday when you guys went nuts here and had a posting party.

Also, I have usually just posted a dissertation just a few minutes before they change it. And it is lost.

I think most of you caught it. I’m doing a birthday party on Oct. 21 for my daughter. She wants all the activities and food according to Canon but we are only advancing as far as OotP in respect to those children who have only seen the movies.

I am looking for trivia questions on Canon suitable for the 6-8 year old range. Also, they should be Canon points that ARE covered in the movies.

My daughter wanted a Horcrux hunt but since that is DH that won’t work. Someone suggested a hunt for the SS/PS with clues from one point to the next.

Also, activities, games, food that I can make myself without costing an arm and a leg.

She said a couple of the “haters” waffled today at the prospect of a party.

A teenager who also goes to our church walked up to me at our Taekwondo school today and asked me if I had read DH (He is a recommended black belt). I held up my 4 fingers and told him I knew other adults who had gone for 6. His eyes got wide. He wanted to know if Harry died. I told him he had to read it. He said he had heard Harry died. I said, “He does but that is not all there is to it’ it is much more complicated than that. You have to read it.” He said he would wait for the movie but I told him they could not possibly fit it all in a movie. Then, I asked him if I brought my poor dog eared copy to him would he read it and give it back to me. He promised me he would. If he does what he says I bet we will have a convert. This is the first time I have made any headway in getting someone else to consider reading these little gems.

Fortunately, I have my husband’s pristine copy. I wouldn’t let it out of my possession if my copy was the only copy in the house.
