I have a day free today. The DS went to work and I am home alone. My BIL is out fishing, my daughter is at work, my son is at work and on this glorious Sunday…I find myself home alone. :)

No one is anywhere. I can’t sleep. The allergies are finally working through my resistance to them. My nose is full and my eyes are itching. I have created a hole in my memory foam mattress and I can’t get comfortable. Maybe it will have reinflated by the time I lie down again.

It could be much worse, it could have said rain for three more days!!!! lol (Looking on the Sunny Side of things) Some times finding the Sunny side of everything is not easy, but If you look hard enough!!! Yes I knew of those people, I have been rereading the books last weeks. I’m more interested in the 50 others. I mean, some of them must be reasonably well-known characters of the books and i’m just really curious. But if there has been such a list, then leaky would probably have known… So i think I’ll have to wait until something new comes out…

Sorry, *French Girl. I would think this has been a carefully researched question. The ones we know from reading the book are the only ones we know specifically unless Jo tells us herself in The Scottish Book.

agony is the right word. I love rereading the HP books, they are like a kind of security blanket. I feel better when I’m reding thm, but something new wouldn’t hurt either.

And like you can see: my typing isn’t that good either ;)

I have all seven on audiobook so I can listen in the car. I am currently in the early parts of DH (Deathly Hallows), but I need to start over since I have not listened to it since Christmas. ;)

My work commute is about an hour each way, so I really can get a lot in during just driving time. ;)

I don’t like audiobooks very much. I’m kind of old fashion. I need to feel and to smell the paper (a little Hemionish I know)
I can imagine things better when I am the one who is reading it. But I can imagine it can make driving not so boring.

I really would love to know if any of the others made it. Lavender Brown is a good one to ask about. How about Cho or Woody? Are they mentioned when we read the last chapter. We all know that they all gather around Harry to congratulate him and at least touch him but we don’t get very many names.

How did Goyle do? He escaped the fire but did he survive the war? or all the rest of Harry’s fellow Gryffindors. Many stayed to fight. How did they do? The Quidditch team and the kids from Dumbdelore’s Army??

Good morning! (well for me it’s morning anyway) That’s excatly my point Madame Minerva. there are so many characters we know that where there fighting, but we have now precise idea who did it and who didn’t. And that’s frustrating. Maybe there even are some who are werwolfes now (lavender maybe?) I’d just really like to know. I don’t know if JKR sometimes sees what we write here, but if so: PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone! Good to see some activity here! :)

Just a couple more busy weeks to go and then I’ll be back around for the summer. :)

I’m home. It has been a long day. Most of dinner is cooked but I still have to add some orzo pasta.

I’m also strongly encouraging homework along.

Jen, now that you have almost two semesters of grad school behind you do you feel you have a handle on what you have to do to survive? Have you made it manageable so that you still have some small amount of life left?

My DS is working full time and taking one class but it seems to be a monster. He sometimes has to read entire technical texts in one week and write a paper. He also has to read everyone else’s papers from the previous week. Then, at the end of the class in 3 weeks he has two big projects due in addition to the regular work.

One of them involves writing yet another paper. The weekly ones have been short. The big one is longer and is meant to be publishable quality. The professor is writing a book and hopes to use the chapters in his book and is using that motivation as a carrot to the students.

Now, with all that going on my DS is trying to read these books for content at a level that allows him to practically memorize them. I’ve told him that to try to do that in any Master’s Degree is unreasonable.

The only way you can do that is if you are intensely interested in some minute subspecialty.

Otherwise, you really just have to figure out what every professor considers important, spend your effort on that and just familiarize yourself with everything else and let it go. You can always go back and look up references in real life.

Would you agree on that analysis? He is making himself mad trying to know everything about everything, trying to remember every word he has read. I’m afraid he will burn himself out.

The word is that this course is the hardest course of the program, that all other class requirements by other professors pale by comparison. I hope this is true and he will be able to give himself a little more slack in the future.

Good Morning Everybody!!! Happy Thursday to ALL!!!! Hmmm!! I knew that Bellatrix was responsible for the Death of Dobby, A fox, I am sure several others, and I do know that when we had the part where there were 7 Harry Potters, that Bellatrix tried to kill Tonks, but she missed, and when Tonks landed with Ron, she let Lupin and others know just how hard Bellatrix had tried to kill her!!!! However at the big fight at Hogwarts at the end, the book just says that Tonks and Lupin were killed, it does not say who did it!!!! I don’t remember which death eater killed fred although the book does say so!!! and several good wizzards fired at the killer of Fred!!!! We also know that Bellatrix & Barty’s Son tortured Neville’s Parents to insanity, and It was very true that Bellatrix enjoyed killing anybody!!! but I just don’t think she was responsible for killing Tonks or Lupin, I remember her asking I believe Ginny I think were was Lupin, and she was told out on the grounds, and she went to joing Lupin. Bellatrix did kill Sirius, but it was because her curse caused Sirius to fall backwards into the Veil!!! Otherwise I don’t think she would have been able to kill Sirius so Easily!!!! He certainly was NOT afraid of her!!! I loved it when Molly stepped in and finished Off Bellatrix!!!! true Justice indeed!!! lol

I suppose I need to clear that up a bit, I mean’t to say that Tonk’s either asked Harry or Ginny where Lupin was, and she was told out on the grounds!!! and she went to join Lupin!!! So I believe they would have been together, and I don’t think that Bellatrix was any match for the both of them together!!!
