What is the spell for finding lost objects?

My DS has called. His wedding ring is missing. He rubbed his hands together at work and he realized it wasn’t there.

He has never removed it since the wedding day almost 17 years ago.

We hope and suspect it is in the pocket of a coat or a pair of his jeans, or inside his gardening gloves.

The problem is he has no idea when he had it last. It has just always been there and then he realized it wasn’t.

We are going to have about 75 degrees here today, but they are calling for a possible afternoon shower. I really did not want it to rain this weekend, I had hoped that I could get my front deck re-stained with the Red-wood stain, it is peeling in some places and really needs to be sanded and re-painted, I will have to use my side door and deck until it dries, but if it rains all weekend, I will just have to postpone it again!!! lol
I AM WISHING EVERYBODY TO HAVE A GREAT DAY AND A FABULOUS WEEKEND!!!! lol

It took me 25 minutes to go one mile yesterday! Once I got that far away, it was my usual commute.

Most of the streets around the Capitol Building were closed for 22 hours yesterday! There was a major “tea party” rally. Of course the legislators, at whom it was aimed, were not there. They adjourned for yesterday and today.

So all it did was disrupt traffic and jam up the roads that were open. ;)

Oh, and it will be almost as bad today. The Braves play only 3 blocks from my office. Their game starts round 7:30 – the parking lots officially open at 4:30, just in time for rush hour.

The Dogwood Festval is this weekend at Piedmont Park. That is a few miles north of my office, but Piedmont Road is a major artery to get there and it runs beside our building.

Freaknick was supposed to be this weekend, but they could not get a permit. How much would you bet that it will happen anyway and they will just “pretend” to be going to the Dogwood Festival. It usually centers on Piedmont Park. But the “cruising” encompasses several square miles and disrupts traffic for commuters. One year the kids were parking and partying on, and blocking, the Interstate. It was a nightmare! ;)

That’s enough happy news from me. ;)

Morning all! Just checking in from work. :)

LH, I’ve definitely seemed to have a little bit more free time this semester…BUT I’ve also found that I’m not enjoying it quite as much as last semester. I’m not sure if this is because I’m not so completely immersed in it all, or if I just don’t like the classes as much (or maybe not liking the classes as much is what’s making me not spend as much time solely on school), or if it’s just early burn-out approaching. Fortunately, I’m only taking two classes next fall, so I think that’ll be better because I’ll be able to put in a lot of effort on them, while still having time to myself (although I’ll have to work more since going part-time means extending things an extra year, so the free time may not materialize). Plus, I think I should have a nice balance between the two classes – one is an intensive research course in which we have to produce a significant paper that could be considered for publication, but the other is more of a “fun” elective called “History of Books and Printing”.

Your husband’s course sounds much heavier than any of the ones I’ve had so far! I definitely agree with you as far as trying to read to the point of memorization; there’s just no way! I do make sure I actually do all of the assigned reading, along with as much of the suggested/recommended stuff as well. I know I won’t remember all of it, but I like to have at least seen it, and at least some of it will stick. The rest of it might not be there for easy recall, but already in the few classes I’ve taken, I’ve seen how inter-related the info for all of them are, so I’ll read something in a class that I recognize having read about in another class, even if I didn’t retain all the details. The stuff that keeps coming up is the stuff that really sticks. But I do know of several people who have said they don’t even do the readings – they just do the bare minimum to complete any graded assignments. So, I suppose you can get by either way.

Tell your husband I say good luck! I hope that people are right and the class he’s in now is the hardest one. It’ll be nice for him to know he’s got the worst out of the way!

I did see the news about Dan doing How to Succeed; I’ll definitely be planning a trip to NY to see it! With Glee’s return last week, I’m getting really excited for the concert at the end of May. It’ll be great not only because of the concert, but also because I haven’t been down to NY since I went to see Equus – it’s been too long! :)

LOL, thanks, Deanie! Several of those made me laugh, but quite a few seemed rather reasonable to me…maybe I’ve already adopted the librarian’s mindset! ;)

Good Morning Everybody!!!! Happy Monday to ALL!!!! I hope everybody had a FABULOUS WEEKEND!!! I had a pretty busy one myself!!!! Painting, Pet-CO, dog walking, yard work, laundry, & Grocery shopping. I was ready to go back to work this morning!!!! lol We are going to have a high of 65 degrees today, and when I stepped out my door this morning and locked the dead-bolt, I said to myself Ooooh!!! it’s chilly out here, but did I bother to go back inside and get a jacket NO I DID NOT!!!!! I had to escape from Smokey, who was howling on the other side of the door, so I decided to just freeze my butt off instead!!! well only until I got in my car!!!!! I ran the heat all the way to work this morning!!!! lol I HOPE EVERYBODY HAS A FANTASTIC DAY!!!!

I kept getting an error message and could not get into Leaky earlier. ;)

I am webcam bird watching. She sure does wiggle around a lot! I wonder if she is laying more eggs. I think the average is about eight or nine. ;)

Ooh! She left the nest for a bit. Still only 5 eggs. ;)

Good Morning Everybody!!!! A Happy Monday to ALL!!!!!
WOW I had a nice weekend, I did manage to get my deck re-stained Redwood, bought some flower plants and big wooden pot with handles for arranging them in my front yard, some purple petunia’s and I am going to pick up some potting soil this evening on my way home from work, I bought some bright pink flowers also, and some red ones, I forgot what the other type was, but they will all be in the same wooden tub. I need to get to my other deck now, it is located on the side of my house, it also needs re-done with the redwood stain, after I sand it down, I hope to get too it this week, if it ever stops raining!!!! lol I AM WISHING EVERYBODY TO HAVE A SPECTACULAR DAY!!!!! lol
