A reader sends us these snippets from a Daily Record article:

Director Christopher Columbus, who made the hit Home Alone movies, compiled the two minute teaser himself from the footage he’s been filming since last November.

Interesting that he’s done the trailer himself……

Until now, the giant Warner Bros studio, who intend to make seven Potter films in all, have kept the production, being shot at locations around the country, a closely-guarded secret.

Perhaps now that the teaser is out, we’ll begin seeing more and more pictures and find out about who’s playing Madame Pomfrey or Lee Jordan amongst other still unannounced parts.

Richard Harris said the role has been one of his toughest ever.

He said: “It’s very, very hard, bloody difficult. The kids are brilliant and the story is great – I’d never read the book but the script is wonderful.

“The problem is there is so many special effects as an actor it is a very difficult film to do.”

Julie Walters, who also appears in the film as Ron’s mum, agrees: “I’m only in the film briefly but the scene took four days to do because of all the special effects. It was very tiring.”

At least they’re trying to do it right. Harris seems a lot more positive about participating in the film.

Hollywood studio Warner Bros are so delighted with the film so far, insiders say the decision has already been made to make a sequel this summer – before the first film goes out.

Excellent! At least we can expect one more film after this.
