Owl Post: Bringing you the best in Harry Potter
The Official Newsletter of LeakyNews.com! |
The "Ellen" program broadcast a brand new scene from the upcoming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix film. The clip, which aired on Monday, featured Professor Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) introducing Professor Umbridge (Imelda Staunton) to the students in the Great Hall of Hogwarts, with reactions from Harry (Dan Radcliffe), Hermione (Emma Watson), Fred and George (James and Oliver Phelps). Also shown during the scene were the adult staff, including Professor McGonagall (Dame Maggie Smith), Professor Flitwick (Warwick Davis), Professor Trelawney (Emma Thompson) and Professor Snape (Alan Rickman). The scene featured Harry speaking briefly to Hermione about Umbridge with Fred and George also commenting, however the bulk of it focused on Umbridge giving her speech, including her rather creepy giggle at the end. You can see the entire clip here in our Video Galleries.
This past week, both the UK and US official Warner Bros. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix websites received a revamp with a brand new layout and features. First, the UK site got a nice new makeover, featuring a new layout, new posters, new wallpapers, and new buddy icons. In this new look at things from the upcoming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie, you can see all the previously released movie stills in a gallery plus some new ones including this of Sirius and Harry (with the fab Black Family tapestry behind them) and a new one of Fudge, Kingsley, Umbridge and... attention John Noe: DAWLISH! as well as the various trailers.
The US site, launched two days later, includes much of the same content as the UK site, but with eight new wallpapers featuring Tonks, Sirius Black, Dumbledore, group shots of the DA and much more. Both websties feature beautiful music from the upcoming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix score, composed by Nicholas Hooper.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will be released in the US July 13.

Reader E-mails
Dear Leaky Cauldron,
I've emailed you three times now about the news this week that a friend of (insert name of young Potter actor or actress) took photos of (again with name) at (insert location name), doing (insert vice/non-vice of choice) and emailed them to the Sun. It's all over the web - why haven't you posted it?
A Devoted Reader
Dear Devoted Reader,
Because it's hard enough to be a teen without the eyes of the world on you, and because the news was completely un-Potter related.
Incidentally, "friends" don't take photos of you doing potentially embarrassing things and email them to major news publications.
Sincerely,
-Kristin for TLC
