For the month of September, we have a brand new contest to bring you involving young Albus Severus and the legendary Hogwarts poltergeist, Peeves. This contest has you put yourself into young Albus' shoes as he meets Peeves for the first time at Hogwarts, and create an original 500-word or less story about that experience. As we saw in the first Harry Potter book, first year students are bound to have an interesting first encounter with the poltergeist. This contest will give those interested the opportunity to compose what that first encounter may have been like for Harry's son.
Readers over the age of 13 and not involved in the judging process may submit one, original, 500 words or less, PG-13 appropriate entry to contests@the-leaky-cauldron.org before September 30, 2009 at 11:59 pm (EDT) with "Albus Meets Peeves" in the subject line of the e-mail. The first place winner of this contest will receive 200 MyLeaky points along with a custom made wand from Wizard Wood Wands.
Hehe, very interesting. Will definitely enter – although that limit is awfully short.
Anyway, where it says “found on the Contest Page,” the link takes you to information about the August contest, rather than September. Thought you ought to know… ;)
I wish I had more time this month. Sounds’ like my kind of contest! And 200 MyLeaky points AND a wand. I guess I’ll just have to make time. I really hope I’ll be able to enter. SQUEEEE!! :)
I know it probably seems picky but Peeves is a poltergeist. The ghosts can’t actually throw things, or cause such chaos, I get the impression that Peeves is actually solid as Lupin is able to send that bit of chewing gum up his nose!
LOL Albus Severus VS Peeves, thats gonna be funny!!!
YAY I’m first!!!
