HP Cast

Featured in this week’s roundup are a number of interviews, stills and actor appearances from members of the Harry Potter cast. Firstly, thanks to Rupert-Grint.us, we have a number of stills from the film “Wild Target” in which Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Bill Nighy (Rufus Scrimgeour) star. The film will be released on the 23rd of April this year and you can find the stills in our galleries at this link.

Rupert Grint has been selected as one of Wonderwall’s “Top 12 Hottest Redheads,” in the company of Lindsay Lohan, Isla Fisher and Prince Harry. You can find the complete list here on the MSN Movies website. Thanks to Lily and Rosalie for emailing in!

ABC reports that Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) and Rupert Grint have been placed at the top of the Forbes list of “Most Bankable Teen Stars” with the Harry Potter films having earned $4.3 billion. Sixteen-year-old Dakota Fanning follows the trio on the list with films that have netted $2 billion.

Miranda Richardson (Rita Skeeter) and Dawn French (The Fat Lady) were among the guests at British Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s reception for Women’s Day. International Women’s Day was celebrated on the 8th of March and Brown spoke at the event:

I am very proud of what together women are achieving in this country
and when people look at the steps forward that you have been
responsible for it convinces me that nothing is impossible in this
world, that nothing is beyond our grasp, that the inaccessible
pinnacles that people talk about are not inaccessible at all.

Photos from the reception can now be found in our galleries and you can read more about the event on the 10 Downing Street website.

Clémence Poésy (Fleur Delacour) has been featured on the cover of the April 2010 Tatler, which is on sale now. Thanks to Freya for emailing in! Additionally, the actress has been interviewed in the April 2010 issue of British Vogue and scans of the interview and photoshoot can be seen here in our galleries. Poésy comments of the Harry Potter actors, “it’s good to see everyone – just a little bit older.” The interview is primarily the Fleur Delacour actress’ status as Vogue‘s “current fascination” and is centred on fashion, including the Martine Sitbon dress Poésy wore for the “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” premiére. “They went through their archives and we found two perfect dresses… They had a really nice vintage look; they felt like they would ‘age’ well in pictures,” said Poésy.

Xenophilius Lovegood actor Rhys Ifans has attended the premiéres of two of his recent projects, “Mr. Nice” and “Greenberg.” You can find photos from the “Mr. Nice” premiére in our galleries by following this link; Ifans stars as Howard Marks, a British drug smuggler, opposite David Thewlis (Remus Lupin) who portrays Jim McCann. Comedy film “Greenberg” stars Ifans as Ivan Schrank in a cast that includes Ben Stiller. Photos from the “Greenberg” premiére can be found in our galleries via this link.

Finally, Jim Broadbent (Professor Slughorn) was on Jonathan Ross’ Radio 2 talk show on the 20th of March, which you can listen to here on the BBC Radio 2 website. The interview starts at 40 minutes and 23 seconds in, and discusses the actor’s long-running career in film and upcoming release “Perrier’s Bounty,” which also stars Brendon Gleeson (Mad-Eye Moody). In a brief comment on the Harry Potter films, Broadbent describes his role in “Deathly Hallows: Part 2” as “fleeting and telling.” You can also find photos of Broadbent entering and leaving the Radio 2 studios here in our galleries.
