Entertainment Weekly has named actor Daniel Radcliffe their "Entertainer of the Year" for 2011 following the success of the final "Harry Potter" film and his critically acclaimed performance on Broadway's "How to Succeed in Business..."
EW editor Jess Cagle appeared on Good Morning America to announce their choice. She said:
"Ultimately there was one person who made the most sense." Cagle
added that Radcliffe is "the nicest guy with one of the brightest
futures in Hollywood. There's nothing he can't do."
And, said
Cagle, "He's really interested in doing the work. Despite all his wealth
and fame as a teenager, he never derailed. He was never busted. Never
went outside without his panties on."
A preview of Radcliffe's cover for the magazine can be seen here. Entertainment Weekly hits newsstands this Friday, Dec. 9.
Very well said HPseeker! Could not agree more! He’s quite a remarkable young man and seems to succeed at what ever he puts his mind to.
Congratulations Dan!!!!
Congrats to him! That is just a really great and high honor! He deserved it! After sticking to his role for more than a decade, doing theater plays and other movies during that decade and finally, landing an incredible role on a musical is just truly brilliant! He is just amazing as a performer!
Wow!!!
Honestly, no one deserves it more than him.
He has never become snobby, over-the-top, drunk-all-the-time-and-doing-drugs like other actors/actresses, but yet he is the star of the biggest movie series of all time!
He just wrapped up a fantastic 10 years of filming AMAZINGLY, with millions of adoring fans, then already has another movie coming up and has done 2 musicals. I mean, wow. This is why I love him!!
Congratulations to our perfect Harry!
Very well deserved! It’s very difficult to do well both in movies and theater, let alone to do it in the same year!
