Pottermore recently tweeted an update on the progress of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The tweet read:

Pottermore insider gave more details on this porgress of Chamber of Secrets, stating:

Chamber of Secrets update:
This week, we're in the sound studio recording audio for the Chamber of Secrets Moments. We're also working on Chapter Three, The Burrow, and Chapter Seventeen, The Heir of Slytherin.

Really? They are just starting CoS. Pottermore is moving slower than a flobberworm in February.

So far Pottermore has proven to be the most useless webside related to the Potter franchise. Didn’t they have enough time to actually record the audio during the whole year that it was in beta??

Rhiannon: We don’t know how long they have been working on it or in what order. I suspect there is still a lot to do but I suspect they are a fair way through as they know what sounds will be needed.

eikind: They weren’t going to have sound originally, that is one of the things they added after beta feedback. Also, until they have planned each book, they won’t know what sounds to record.

My guess would be thay sound is one of the last things to do for the books. CoS will probably be out end of July/early August, to mark Pottermore’s one year anniversary.
