The “House Ghosts” have now all been cast! As you already know, John Cleese is lined up to play Nearly-Headless Nick, the Gryffindor House ghost but what of the spirits of Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin? Thanks to several readers, we can now tell you who’s playing the role of each.

The role of the Fat Friar, House Ghost of Hufflepuff, will be played by actor Simon Fisher-Becker. Mr. Fisher-Becker is no stranger to theatre where he played in Oliver! and Macbeth as well as television where he can be seen in several BBC productions. (Thanks to TerryLovesLiz for contributing to that bit of news).

The Bloody Baron, Slytherin’s Ghost, will be played by actor Terence Bayler. Bayler has been in Monty Python and the Life of Brian, Time Bandits, Brazil, Remains of the Day and has appeared in several episodes of “The Rutles”.

The mysterious Grey Lady, Ravenclaw’s Ghost, will be portrayed by actress Nina Young, most recently seen in the Gwyneth Paltrow movie “Sliding Doors” as well as in the Bond Movie “Tomorrow Never Dies” as Tamara Steel and television series “The Demon Headmaster” as Professor Claudia Rowe.

With Rik Mayall playing Peeves the Poltergeist, they only ghosts left to be cast are Professor Binns, History of Magic teacher and (possibly) an appearance by “Moaning Myrtle“.

Here are pictures of the ghost-to-be actors (left-to-right Simon Fisher-Becker, Terence Bayler, Nina Young). If you have better shots of Nina Young or Terence Bayler, please send them to us.
