A reader sent us this very interesting tidbit. I’ve been unable to confirm it yet:

In my Entertainment Weekly (The fall movie preview edition) they have a feature on Harry Potter. Chris Columbus is quoted at the end:

“I feel we’ve been faithful,” he says. “And I feel we did it for the fans.” Jitters? You bet – though not for the reason you’d think. “There will be nervousness,” he says, “because two days later we start shooting Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. And then it starts all over again.”

So not only do we have confirmation that COS will be in production by the end of the year, but we now also have confirmation that Chris Columbus will be directing the sequel!
