The August 24/31, 2001 double issue of Entertainment Weekly has a two page spread on the PS/SS movie, including a wonderful picture of Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) at the Sorting. Among the more interesting bits in the article are a comment from director Christopher Columbus that “We preserved 95% of the big moments” from the book, that Daniel Radcliffe was his first choice for Harry, that the shoot was 130 days, and that on November 18, 2001, they start shooting Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets.
