The BAFTAs have been announced, and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was nominated in the following categories:

The Alexander Korda Award for the outstanding British Film of the Year
Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role (Robbie Coltrane)
Production Design
Costume Design
Sound
Achievement in Special Visual Effects
Make up/Hair

Harry Potter is also in the running for the Orange Film of the Year. The winner, voted for by the public, will be announced at the Orange British Academy Film Awards next month.
