Ok. This is short notice and I apologize because today was INSANE in real life – but here you go, straight from the horse’s mouth:

Holiday Season Signals A Time For Gift Giving

Fans of the blockbuster-hit film Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets will recognize the importance of the gift of clothes to those in need after watching the harrowing story of house-elf Dobby. With the gift of a sock, Dobby won his freedom from indentured servitude to the Malfoy family and has become the poster elf in the Free Dobby! movement.

In the spirit of holiday gift giving, Free Dobby! the movement created to Free All House Elves, will be sponsoring a rally to collect new (and nearly new) clothes at “Socks Help Elves Live Free.” The clothes and socks gathered will benefit the Salvation Army Christmas Drive. Kids and their families are encouraged to donate not only new socks, but also new or nearly new articles of clothing for children and adults alike.
