Battle Royale Over Half-Blood Prince Prices

It’s war!…well a price war that is. With only 15 more days to go, retailers are repeatedly lowering the sale price of the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood book. This has lead to a price competition between many retailers, especially in the U.K. We’ve been getting e-mail after e-mail informing us of deals; so, if you are still shopping around for the best bargin on book six, here is a list of retailers and the current going prices:
Online Retailers:

  • Abebooks: according to their website, on the day of release, it will be available “at the unbelievable price of $12.99! You are signing up for an e-mail reminder to be notified when the book is available to purchase on Abebooks.com. This is not a pre-order.”
  • Walmart pre-order/release day delivery price of $16.66
  • Barnes & Noble pre-order/release day delivery (w/ member card), $16.19
  • Amazon price: pre-order/release day delivery, $17.99
  • Scholastic (Includes Free HP Poster), $23.96
  • Books-A-Million: pre-order/release day delivery, $17.99 ($16.19 club price)
  • Waldenbooks (via Amazon): pre-order/release day delivery, $ 17. 99

  • Tesco: circulars advertise £7.96 (with eCoupon voucher)
