The Daily Record is reporting today that some scenes to be included in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie may be filmed in Scandinavia due to lack of snow in Scotland at the moment. A spokesperson for the Highland and Islands Film Commission says “There are some scenes which require a lot of snow and quite simply there is not enough.” The article goes on to note that crews from Phoenix have been on location scouting missions recently, making “helicopter flights over Glen Etive and Glendessary.” Readers might remember it was the other way around for the making of Goblet of Fire, when heavy snows in Scotland actually delayed filming of some scenes for the fourth Potter movie. Filming for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix begins in February.
