“I remember it clear as anything, because I’d just started here myself. New Year’s Eve and bitter cold, snowing, you know. Nasty night. And this girl, not much older than I was myself at the time, came staggering up the front steps. Well, she wasn’t the first. We took her in, and she had the baby within the hour. And she was dead in another hour.” – Ch. 13 “The Secret Riddle” Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling

Just as J.K. Rowling read these words aloud this past summer in New York, so too do we take a moment to read these words again, as it marks the begining of a life that has brought nothing but sorrow, havoc, death and destruction, making such an impact to all of us in the magical world. What fate awaits you in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows we do not know, but wherever you are tonight Lord Voldemort, we at TLC hope that that you are enjoying it-for now.
