Five Nominations for “Half-Blood Prince” Film and Actors at 2010 MTV Movie Awards

The nominations for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards have been released, and contain a handful of nominations for the “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” film, along with a number of its actors. First, Draco Malfoy actor Tom Felton has been nominated along with his HBP co-star Helena Bonham Carter in the category of Best Villian. The pair go head to head among such other dastardly characters portayed by Gary Oldman, who appeared as Sirius Black in the Harry Potter films; Eric Bana; Stanley Tucci; Uma Thurman; and Christoph Waltz.
Next, Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter) garnered a nomination in the category of Best Male Performance, while Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) was nominated in the Best Female Performance category. Mr. Radcliffe was nominated once again, this time in the Global Superstar category, along with such actors as Sandra Bullock, Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp, and George Clooney. Finally, the “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” film has been nominated with such films as “(500) Days of Summer,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “Avatar,” “Up,” and “The Hurt Locker” for the Best Movie prize.
