Fred and George’s Hogwarts History Contest

Contests
Having spent the day honouring their birthday and as it is now a new month, our Contest Team brings you the Fred & George’s Hogwarts History Contest. After strolling down to the library and removing one of the nicer copies
of Hogwarts, A History from the shelves, Fred and George holed up in a
corner out of Madam Pince’s sight and began magically changing many of
the entries. The result turned out to be quite entertaining indeed.
Your
task this month is to share with all of us one of the historical
passages you think they changed best. Keep your entry to 750
words or fewer and please bear in mind that all entries must meet PG-13 standards of decency and good taste.
All submissions must
be e-mailed to [email protected] by 11.59 pm (EDT) on the
30th of April, with “FG Hogwarts History” in the subject
line of the e-mail. Your passage from Hogwarts, A History as it would appear once Fred and George changed it should be pasted into the body of the
e-mail, along with a name (your real name or your Leaky Lounge name) to
be used for authorship. Anyone 13 years of age and over who is not
involved in the judging process is welcome to enter and each person may only enter once.
The first place winner will receive a handcrafted wand donated by Wizard Wood Wands
(design changes each month) and 200 MyLeaky points. More information,
including the full rules of the Fred and George’s Hogwarts History Contest, can be found at this link. You can also find further discussion of all of our contests in the Contest Corner Forum at the Leaky Lounge.
Good luck to all who enter!
