Today we remember and honor those who fought the Battle of Hogwarts. We especially remember those who gave their lives for the Second Wizarding War–not just at the Battle of Hogwarts, but in the dark days preceding it as well. Today we also celebrate Harry Potter’s victory over Lord Voldemort, and commemorate all those who greatly assisted him to his victory.

J.K. Rowling took to Twitter to honor the Anniversary of Hogwarts. She began with apologizing for the death of Fred Weasley, and offered to apologize for a death every anniversary. She began with Fred, saying, “Fed was the worst for me, so I start with him.”

Who do you miss the most? Who do you acknowledge for their contributions? (For we all know it would have taken Harry twice as long to figure it all out if it weren’t for his dear friend Hermione Granger).

Please share your thoughts with us, and join us in this day of celebration and remembrance.

*Important sidenote: J.K. Rowling tweeted yesterday, “I wonder what odds we’d get on the royal baby being born tomorrow and called Victoria?” Well, hold your breath because J.K. Rowling may have just won that bet. We do not know the name of the royal baby, but it was indeed born this morning, the Anniversary of Hogwarts, and it is a girl. More proof that J.K. Rowling is magical?
