Den of Geek reports that Rupert Grint is working on a pilot episode for an NBC TV show, where he is set to play a son of a comic book creator. According to Den of Geek,

The pilot has been written by Ugly Bettycreator Silvio Horta, based on an original idea from Secrets & Lies producer Aaron Kaplan. The as-yet-untitled drama has apparently been put together especially for Grint, a life-long comic book fan.

Grint it set to play a character named Rupert, who is described by Deadline  as “a low-level New York office drone obsessed with Imperial City, a comic book series his father created before his death.” After owning the first nine issues of the comic book series for his whole life, Rupert finds out that there is a tenth issue and that the world of Imperial City is actually real and that he is the only one who can save it.

The studio behind the idea for the pilot is Warner Bros, with assistance from Silent H Productions and Kapital Entertainment. And as mentioned before, the show is developed by NBC.

As many readers may recall, Rupert was once apart of another TV show project for CBS, called Super Clyde. The show also had a heavy comic book presence, and Grint was to play a slightly neurotic wealthy young man who was a comic book fanatic and wanted to be a super hero, almost like Bruce Wayne. The pilot episode did not get picked up by the network (CBS).
