The hit British drama National Treasure will premiere in the U.S. on Hulu March 1, 2017. The series, from award-winning writer Jack Thorne, held consistently-high ratings and garnered critical praise during its original run.

Robbie Coltrane, beloved in the role of Rubeus Hagrid, stars as Paul Finchley. Broadway World reports:

“National Treasure is a compelling and timely four-part serial drama examining the fallout that occurs when accusations of sexual misconduct are lodged against a fictional public figure, exploring their impact on the accused and those most closely associated with him as he is brought to trial.”

Coltrane is already gaining award season recognition for his performance. He won Best Actor at the Roma Fiction Festival and scored a Best Male Performance nomination from C21 Drama Awards.

Julie Walters (Molly Weasley), Andrea Riseborough, and Tim McInnerny round out the cast. Walters also picked up a nomination from C21 Drama Awards in the category of Best Female Performance.

Jack Thorne is well-known for his script-writing contribution to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Thorne talks about his work on the screenplay in Leaky Cauldron articles here and here.
