After waiting countless months and being teased with trailers, exclusive demos and familiar faces from the Potterverse since the announcement of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, the free-to-play mobile role-play game has finally arrived on iOS and Android!

The interactive and customisable game allows you to personalise your own character, choose your Hogwarts house, which many have already had fun trying out in limited pre-release beta gameplay. The graphics are fantastic (that animated version of Harry Potter doesn’t sounds so strange now, huh?), and we can’t wait to see what stories might be awaiting us!

We were also thrilled to hear the voices of familiar Hogwarts professors (though it’s such a shame Alan Rickman and John Hurt couldn’t be involved).  You’ll also get to meet a few other characters from the Harry Potter series, namely Tonks, Bill Weasley, and even baby fang:

Exploring the Hogwarts castle and interacting with other students gets you far in this game – you never know what surprises lay just around the corner:

Some users are already growing tired of waiting for more energy in the game – unlike reading or watching the series, this story requires an ounce of patience!

This Slytherin wants to live Hogwarts life their own way:

As for the ‘mystery’, our reports from A Celebration of Harry Potter that the story centres around your brother appears to be even more dramatic than we thought – Olivander (ever the oversharing type) decides to spill the beans when you’re being chosen by your wand – wonder what the Cursed Vaults are??:

Fare ye well, Potterheads. If you’re already obsessed (we in no way blame you), remember to eat and sleep!

Show us your customised character, and let us know how you’re getting on in the game – free to download on iOS and Android app stores from today!
