New images of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald are popping up online left, right and centre, so to keep you updated, we’re bringing them all together to make sure you don’t miss a thing. From glimpse of Newt’s book release and his basement in upcoming Fantastic Beasts film companion book previews to an exclusive reveals of a new image, it’s clear we’re rapidly nearing the film’s November 16th release date!

SPOILER WARNING: Needless to say, if you’re trying to keep your knowledge of the film to trailer-only, this might not be the article for you.

First up, a new image of Newt and Theseus in a new Crimes of Grindelwald image revealed by Total Film:

The piece also includes and interview with Callum Turner and Eddie Redmayne, who discuss Theseus and Newt’s relationship:

“To explore the relationship with Newt was exciting for me – someone who’s super-successful and generous”

Ezra complained about not getting to go to Hogwarts in this film during our on set interview with him, but rather than accept they wouldn’t be going to Hogwarts, Callum and Eddie decided to take matters into their own hands:

“Callum and I weren’t invited to Hogwarts,” laughs Redmayne. “So we stole in ourselves and took illegal selfies.”

Jude Law also shares a core theme of the film (David Heyman previously told us identity and family are both central, too), explaining that we’ll see Dumbledore as a troubled young man:

“Dumbledore trusts people who always make the right choice […] There’s a part of him also that thinks he has a monster inside of him. Newt is someone who can have affection for monsters. That’s a theme that runs through the whole film – people facing the monster inside.”

Read the full piece in Total Film Magazine‘s latest issue (which hits shelves today), and see another exclusive image of Eddie and Callum on set with David Yates  from our set visit below:

Fantastic Beasts Film Series Twitter account have also picked up on some new images from Trends international merchandise, showing Jacob, Leta and Tina in the mausoleum, Grindelwald holding his hand out to Leta, an image of Credence and the Maledictus, and more!

They also picked up on a (very) short new clip, showing Flamel fighting Grindelwald in the amphitheatre!

If that wasn’t enough, new images associated with upcoming Fantastic Beasts publications released recently, giving further glimpses of Crimes of Grindelwald, including concept art of Newt’s basement:

Go behind-the-scenes of Crimes of Grindelwald and see a few never-before-seen shots in this exclusive volume containing sections on Costume, Set Design, Make-up, Special Effects & Props, as well as profiles of the key characters and revealing insights from Eddie Redmayne, Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and many others involved in the filming process. Interviews with David Heyman, David Yates, Stuart Craig, and Colleen Atwood help narrate the journey to creating Crimes of Grindelwald, along with detailed photographs. This is Warner Bros’ “definitive adult companion book to the film”!

A few new preview images released on Amazon show some new shots from Crimes of Grindelwald, including Grindelwald’s cell in MACUSA (and more on his escape scene):

An image of a newspaper announcing the date of Grindelwald’s planned move from the basement prison of MACUSA to a prison in Europe (during which he escapes) is also glimpsed, which also announces Tina’s reinstatement as Auror for MACUSA:

We also see a shot of Newt at his book release – there’s that new cover again! You’ll see that MinaLima discuss its design in the interview notes on this page, too. Newt’s pictured with his assistant, Bunty (Victoria Yeates), his brother, Theseus Scamander (Callum Turner), and Newt’s childhood sweetheart, Leta Lestrange (Zoë Kravitz).  This image will have “unfortunate repercussions when Tina sees it” (assumedly due to Leta’s presence at the event!), and required the set of Flourish and Blotts to be built all over again! Newt quickly becomes an overnight sensation, as we know from our interview with Eddie Redmayne on the set of Crimes of Grindelwald, and on these pages we also see a few newspaper clippings illustrating his fame: 81-1oXy1MiL

During our interview with Supervising Art Director Martin Foley on set of Crimes of Grindelwald, we learnt that we’d be seeing Newt’s basement ‘magical menagerie’ at his home, looked after by Bunty. In one of the preview images for this book we see the concept art for this set, which shows the moving staircases (which Newt used to pay homage to Hogwarts), the replica of his shed at the centre, various magical creatures, and various alcoves showing a variety of habitats – how Newt created this, we have no idea, but he’s truly a remarkable wizard:

Another character we’ re looking forward to seeing is Dumbledore’s close friend and creator of the Philosopher’s Stone (which we also learned will appear in the film during our interview with Head of Props, Pierre Bohanna), alchemist Nicolas Flamel. Costume Designer Colleen Atwood spoke about creating his ‘ancient laboratory’ look for the film in our interview with her, and in this preview of the book, we see Hair and Makeup wizard Fae Hammond (who appeared on Dan Fogler’s podcast earlier this year) discuss creating his ancient appearance further, as well as creating other characters’ looks, such as Newt Scamander, Jacob Kowalzki, and Leta Lestrange – no detail is left unchecked, as David Yates is a fan of close-up shots, apparently!

We see Newt and Tina in the French Ministry (Les Ministère Des Affaires Magiques De La France), and we’re told that we’ll see three Ministries in Crimes of Grindelwald: MACUSA, Les Ministère, and The Ministry of Magic! There’s a short paragraph about the hearing Newt attends (we first heard of this in our meeting with Pierre Bohanna, where he showed us the ‘unmanned quill’ mentioned in this short clipping). It appears Newt’s in trouble, again!

Finally, there’s a shot of Theseus and Leta, next to a clipping where Callum Turner discusses Theseus’s  differences to his brother. He discussed this more in our interview with him on set, but we’re particularly intrigued by his descriptions of learning to use a wand “like a whip”, and the fact that he and Eddie Redmayne grew up literally ten minutes from each other! 71r5aPrqchL
