Instructions
Using the Cricut Expression electronic cutting machine along with Sure Cuts A Lot software cut out a variety of dragons and dragon accessories out of the dragonish colored cardstock and scrapbooking paper.
Author's Note: If you do not have the cutting machine and software you can just find dragon templates online and use them as stencils, cutting them out of the cardstock and scrapbooking paper with scissors.
Using an Old English, or similar, font print a title page and an information page for each of the dragons on a piece of the parchment paper, making sure to leave enough room for the a dragon artifact envelope to be attached.
Glue each dragon to the leftover pieces of parchment paper.
Make the letters for the book cover using the Old English, or similar font. If desired cut out a smaller dragon.
Make a 2 inch (5.08 cm) square envelope for each dragon page, to hold a dragon "artifact".
Glue one envelope onto each dragon information page.
Assemble the pages into book form, making sure that each dragon information page and dragon image page match and are opposite of one another.
Use a book binding machine to bind your book.
Gather the following "dragon artifacts", making sure to make them small enough to fit inside the envelope:
- several large brads with pieces of vellum/cardstock/paper that the dragons were cut from attached.
- a piece of Friendly Plastic cut into a cracked eggshell shape with a pair of scissors.
- several pieces of suede remnant in a color that matches its coordinating dragons.
- a fake bear claw.
- gold seed beads.
- a piece of parchment that the red marker has been held on to let it "bleed" into the parchment.
Place each artifact in its corresponding envelope.
