Fiona Shaw (Petunia Dursley) will return to the London stage early next year in Samuel Beckett’s “Happy Days,” at the National Theatre. The play’s director is Deborah Warner, whose past work with Ms. Shaw includes productions of “Richard II,” “Medea” and “Hedda Gabler.” “Happy Days” opens in previews on January 19 (press/opening night is January 24) and will close on March 1, after only 31 performances.
2007 is shaping up to be a great year for theatre-loving fans of the Harry Potter cast, with Fiona Shaw, Jason Isaacs (in “The Dumb Waiter”) and Daniel Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths (in “Equus“) all appearing in the West End at the same time!
