I was amazed to see that the Warner Brothers Online Store has closed for the holiday season because they cannot promise any more deliveries by X-Mas. What a mistake! I don’t know about anyone else, but before I go to a brick-and-mortar store, I like to browse their Web site to see what type of stuff they sell and MAYBE call the local store to check on availablility if I can’t do it online. I can’t even do that!
Also, I don’t know how many years people have been giving holiday cards with little “IOU” notes telling the person what they’re gift is but mentioning that it’s on-route. I do most of my shopping online because I have little time to do it in a mall. Even if I did have to trek out to the local shopping center, I’ll choose a store that at least lets me browse wares online.
Needless to say, I hope this doesn’t hurt WB Online’s sales too much. Frankly, I’m disappointed – I have no easy way to track new Harry Potter merchandize as it comes in.
