Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans

Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans are now a reality. This evening, I headed out to my local Borders to pick up copies of the Harry Potter books on CD. I remembered reading a press release from Borders Books & Music about them carrying the beans in Borders Cafe Espresso.

So I headed upstairs before getting the CDs and sure enough – I found a display of about 20 red cloth bags bearing the name “Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans”. I was ecstatic! I bought 6 bags along with my CDs and headed home to write this report.

The flavors include: Chocolate Pudding, Honey Graham Cracker, Peppermint Stick, Strawberry Jam, Berry Blue, Coconut, Pear, Pink Grapefruit, Toasted Marshmallow, Sardine, Buttered Toast, Blueberry, Cotton Candy, Kiwi, Raspberry, Banana, Black Forest Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Bubblegum, Pineapple, Lemon Drop, Red Apple, Tutti-Frutti, Black Pepper, Grass, Buttered Popcorn, Grape Jelly, Orange Sherbet, Root Beer, Cherry, Booger, Horseradish, Cantaloupe, Green Apple, Peach, Cinnamon, Watermelon and Fruit Punch. The tag that came with it says to look for Dirt, Vomit, Mustard and one unknown flavor in Fall 2001. The beans were made by Jelly Belly for Cap Candy, a division of Hasbro and licensed by Warner Brothers.
