THEY’RE HERE!!! Finally! (Yes, my favorite word) Dark Horizons has secured 4 promotional stills from the Harry Potter movie and they’re phenomenal. And let me tell you, I’m psyched. See the pictures at the Harry Potter Movie Galleries. I’m making an guess on the scenes:

This picture looks like Harry, Ron and Hermione at their first Broom Flying Class. It looks like Harry is about to go after Malfoy for stealing Neville’s Remembrall and Hermione’s trying to stop him. You can see Seamus Finnigan to the right of Ron and possibly Dean Thomas behind him. I can’t tell who’s being blocked by Hermione’s Broom but perhaps that’s Eleanor Columbus. I’m also not sure who’s behind Hermione. It may be an “extra”.

Harry grabbed his broom.

“No!” shouted Hermione Granger. “Madam Hooch told us not to move — you’ll get us all into trouble.”

This picture is Aunt Petunia, Uncle Vernon, and Dudley reading one of the letters from Hogwarts

“That’s mine!” said Harry, trying to snatch it back.

“Who’d be writing to you?” sneered Uncle Vernon, shaking the letter open with one hand and glancing at it. His face went from red to green faster than a set of traffic lights. And it didn’t stop there. Within seconds it was the grayish white of old porridge.

“P-P-Petunia!” he gasped.

Dudley tried to grab the letter to read it, but Uncle Vernon held it high out of his reach. Aunt Petunia took it curiously and read the first line. For a moment it looked as though she might faint. She clutched her throat and made a choking noise.

“Vernon! Oh my goodness — Vernon!”

This picture is a great shot of Ron and Harry. This could be any scene from when Malfoy challenges Harry to a Wizard’s duel or when Snape confronts them. Not sure exactly.

and this picture is McGonagall & Hermione during the Sorting Hat ceremony. If you look closely you can see Dumbledore behind Hermione, and just to the left of McGonagall you can see Quirell in his turban, what may be Snape next to him and possibly Flitwick next to Snape.

“Granger, Hermione!”

Hermione almost ran to the stool and jammed the hat eagerly on her head.

“GRYFFINDOR!” shouted the hat. Ron groaned.
