Facts about owls and other animals that live in Iowa and are also found in the Harry Potter book series and movie will be featured during a program — a Harry Potter Party — Saturday, Feb. 23 at 10 a.m. in the LCCB office at Heron Bend [Iowa].
Banning books. It’s a sensitive and emotionally charged issue. For some it involves defending the first amendment, while for others it involves what they say is defending their children. The facts are that more schools these days are bowing to pressure and banning popular books, like Harry Potter and Huckleberry Finn.
