From StockHouse USA: “Amazon.com announced today that the company has already received more than 100,000 pre-orders for the DVD of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, making it the biggest DVD pre-order in Amazon.com’s history.”

Newsday reports that if you want to be among the first to own Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, you need to get to the store at an appropriate hour: midnight.

Website Game Asylum has more information on the “Chamber of Secrets” game:

Much like the first Harry Potter movie tie-ins, each version of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets been tailor-made for its host format. PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube and PC owners can look forward to a 3D mini-game packed affair where “players become Harry Potter and delve not only into Harry’s world, but also into his personality, via an internal voice”, while the PSone version sees Harry on a quest to win the House Cup while completing coursework for his potions, transfiguration and herbology lessons.

Nicely, the Game Boy Advance incarnation will be able to link-up to the GameCube version, so players can transfer maps, magical items and secret spells back and fourth. Last, but not least, the Game Boy Color game will be an RPG featuring mini-games, duels and multi-player modes.

All seven versions are due out this November, just in time for the new movie. Now there’s a surprise.
