Now That I’m Home…

When last we spoke, I was neck deep in craft projects to finish before Terminus…
All mollys were completed and now in the hands of their owners — including what might be the first and only Hufflepuff Molly Sweater!
Tshirts were stenciled and distributed and worn.
Even managed to begin and complete an afghan for a wedding that took place there.
My son totally enjoyed himself at his first HP Conference and I’m looking forward to sharing Leaky Con with him in Boston – May 21-24, 2009 www.leakycon.com — registration now open :D…. Oh sorry, distracted there for a moment. Where was I? Oh yes, my son. We had a wonderful time together and he met some of my wonderful friends and made new friends as well.
He served as photographer while I helped hp5freak and her mom with a crochet workshop that was packed with those wanting to learn to crochet. It was exciting and fun to share something I love with so many new people. Lindsey and Courtney, keep it up you were doing great there and do have the hang of it. Just keep practicing.
He and I both attended Meet the Authors and shared the joy and excitement of hearing Melissa Anelli read from her soon to be released book.
Hugs and squees all exchanged as well as many many new memories crafted and saved for nights like these…. Nights where I’m home and away from very dear friends after spending only a few short days with them during Terminus. Someone commented to me on Twitter that I should get top dollar for making Molly Sweaters. You know what? I already do! The expression on that person’s face when she got her Molly, and on all the faces as they received something I made, is definitely top dollar and the best payment I could ask for.
There are still Mollys to make for others — including a really sweet woman who was doing her job this past Tuesday night when I had a tire blow out on the interstate in Kentucky on my way home. While waiting with me and having her truck’s emergency lights on, we talked to pass the time. Turns out she’s a Harry Potter fan too and there will be a Molly on its way to Cowgirl once she sends her address! The tow truck driver who I rode with as he took my car to the nearest Walmart Tire & Lube Center? Discovered he’s a Harry Potter fan too.
See, we’re all out there… We just have to find each other.
Yes Terminus is over and I miss everyone so very much but I know I’ll see them soon in Boston and now, I have crafty surprises to plan for May……………..
