Crafty Cat

Wow with Christmas just around the corner, I have been busy trying to get all my crafty gifts in order. *Accio extra pair of hands.Â* Hmm my wand must not be working. Guess I’ll have to resort to muggle methods again this year.

Friends now look at me with horror if I dare present them with a shop bought card. So each year from about November onwards I start on the new challenge. What to make everyone for their present. I
then try and think of individual things to make that are fun and
interesting and relate to that persons interests and just hope that I
didn’t make them one of the same the previous year! Each
year I make myself promise that I will make proper lists of everyone interests
and what I had made and what I actually end up sending. And each
year I promptly forget all of that and randomly make a whole heap of
items, shove them into boxes (with slightly more care and thought than
that sounds) and then send them all off halfway around the world. I
of course instantly forget what I’ve included in each parcel the
moment it has been sealed, so I get to start the merry-go-round again
next year.

think this year this year may include sewing, quilting, felt and
cards and perhaps some knitting if my shoulder holds out long enough. *looks at all my unfinished knitting projects* Okay, perhaps not the knitting.
So tonight I’ll be busy again cluttering up the dining table with fabric, card needles and scissors. I just hope no-one expects to eat off it in a while. And I just hope I get everything finished in time so that I get them posted in time.
And if I don’t get them done in time?
Well I guess there’s always Tim Tams this year and hopes of me being more organised in 2009!
