Leaky

Sure, July 2011 sounded like a great time for our next Harry Potter
conference. The debut of last film, a stone’s throw from the Harry
Potter park¦ yeah, well, that was then, and today is a new day of Glee.
LeakyCon 2011 has now become GleekyCon 2011, the first ever Glee fan
conference!

Slated to take place from July 13 – 17, 2011 in the TV show’s
picturesque Lima, OH, GleekyCon will offer fans the opportunity to come
together and celebrate everything worth singing about on Glee. Five
jam packed days and four never-ending nights await attendees, who will
experience a gathering like no other.

Check out the official GleekyCon 2011 website here for complete information, programming schedules, and much more!

Kicking
off with a Prep Rally, GleekyCon 2011 will feature hours of
programming, keynote luncheons, workshops, dance lessons, round tables,
and fashion shows open to all registered attendees. To keep with the
school atmosphere, each programming event will conclude with the
traditional school bell, at which point attendees will have exactly
seven minutes to get to their next event.

Special events such as Thursday’s nine-hour-long Cheerios
Boot Camp will put attendees through their paces in this crash course
on how to become a proper Cheerio Cheerleader. Food will not be
provided; a 45 second long water break will be given every two hours.
On Friday, be in the audience for the premiere performance of the fan
created musical, “My Two Gay Dads, The Musical.” Also on Thursday,
join us for a special screening of “Finding McKinley High,” a fan made
documentary about the journey to find the famed high school for the
television show Glee. GleekyCon 2011 will also be the premiere of an
entire new genre of music: Grock!

Glee rockers, Grockers, will be coming from across the world to
perform three amazing concerts in the expansive gymnasium of the Lima
Senior High School!

Expect electrifying performances from:

  • Kurt and the Single Ladies
  • The Finn Finns
  • The Cheerios

  • Will and the Shue’s
  • Emma and the Pilsbury Doughboy
