J. K. Rowling to be Featured on BBC’s Who Do You Think You Are?

Harry Potter author J. K. Rowling will be the first person profiled on the new season of BBC’s Who Do You Think You Are?, according to the recently released episode guide for the series. The series, which seeks to uncover their genealogical stories of notable people, will profile Ms. Rowling in the premiere episode of the series’ eight season set to air later this year on BBC One. The official website has also released this short preview description of the episode:

J. K. Rowling: Best for… French connections.

Across the course of seven books and eight films, Jo Rowling’s Harry Potter series has captured the imaginations of millions of people around the world. Who Do You Think You Are? sets out to explore the French ancestry of the author’s mother.

Ms. Rowling is set to join other such celebrities as June Brown, Alan Carr, Sebastian Coe, Larry Lamb, Tracey Emin, Len Goodman, Richard Madeley, Emilia Fox and Robin Gibb for the eight season of the show, set to air later this year.
