Pottermore announced earlier this morning that House Sorting and Wand choosing had found its way back onto the Pottermore site, after a long absence. These features were originally apart of the Pottermore site but were removed last October when the site got a make over.

Many fans were underwhelmed with the Pottermore relaunch and were disappointed that interactive features, such as sorting, had disappeared. And what about that Patronus test we were promised? Pottermore assured all that these features would eventually be reintroduced to the site.

In order to be sorted, Pottemore has brought back it login page. Now users can either Login to their already existing accounts or create a new one (the login page seems to currently be experiencing some glitches). Ignoring the “Login” buttons and all options to Log in, you must click “Join,” enter your birthday, email and a password, verify your account through the email. Once the seemingly new account has been verified, you have the choice to reclaim your sorting and wand information (by entering your old username) or being resorted.

In honor of bringing back sorting, Pottermore’s featured articles on their main page include four articles on the famous Hufflepuffs, Ravenclaws, Gryffindors, and Slytherins that have lived throughout the ages.

The short links to navigate the site have been changed. Joining “Writings by J.K. Rowling,” “News,”Explore the Story,” “Features,” and “Shop” are “Fantastic Beasts” and “Cursed Child” pages.

With a Celebration of Harry Potter beginning this weekend, we can only assume this is the start of the surprises Pottermore said they were excited to share with fans! Head over to Pottermore to check it out!
