Pottermore approached Pop Chart Lab to bring Harry Potter fans new, beautiful Harry Potter prints. Pop Chart Lab will be releasing it’s first print (hopefully of many) at the end of this month. This print, “Magical Objects of the Wizarding World,” shows some of the most popular objects of the Harry Potter series sorted into categories of use.
The lead designer on the project (and huge fan of Harry Potter!), Becky Joy, talked about working with Pottermore, saying:
“Collaborating with Pottermore was a bit of a departure for us, as typically we do 100% of the research and design work of our prints ourselves. But working on a Harry Potter print with Pottermore, we obviously deferred to them on the research end—and design-wise, they asked that we draw mostly from the descriptions given in the books, so we were free to come up with our own takes on these iconic objects, which was a lot of fun.”
Pop Chart Lab said in an email to Leaky,
“When Pottermore approached us to create a print together, we couldn’t say no! And so, combining our art wizardry with their cadre of canon-checkers, we co-conjured this magical tour of arcane artefacts! From the legendary Sword of Gryffindor to the very practical self-stirring cauldron, this examination of the enchanted explores all manner of bewitched baubles. Featuring studiously drawn illustrations and detailed annotations, this wand-erful guide is sure to be an engrossing education for magicians and muggles alike.”
