The cast of the new Harry Potter play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has been making a lot of news recently. No doubt, being adopted into the Harry Potter franchise will rocket a lot of these wonderful stage actors into stardom–it’s already beginning to show.
Certainly, being cast in the next installment of Harry Potter is news worthy on it’s own, as J.K. Rowling retweeted:

Earlier this week the Cursed Child twitter and J.K. Rowling tweeted their support to Jamie Parker, who will be playing the title character of Harry Potter in the new play, for his Olivier award nomination for best actor in Guys and Dolls:

The Radio Times reported that Cursed Child’s Hermione Granger, Noma Dumezweni, will be joining Doctor Who and Harry Potter’s David Tennant at the (live) BBC Shakespeare Festival. The movie cast and play cast of the Harry Potter family are beginning to collide! The Radio Time wrote:
‘The former Doctor Who star will host Shakespeare Live! from the RSC Theatre in Stratford on 23rd April for the BBC, celebrating the 400th anniversary of the playwright’s death.
‘The other announcements include RSC performers Paapa Essiedu, Pippa Nixon, Alexandra Gilbreath (Monarch of the Glen), and Noma Dumezweni, who was also recently cast as Hermione in the new Harry Potter stage production Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
‘David Tennant, who has starred as Hamlet in the BBC’s 2009 production, will front the whole event. “It’s a variety bill, really,” he said. “Obviously the plays are a huge part of that. We will have some of the greatest classical actors around. But we have the other cultural arms he inspired, opera, ballet, hip-hop.”’
The article lists the rest of the star-studded line up for the festival, and the entire original article may be read here.
