Finally….(I say that a lot, don’t I?) we have actual confirmation regarding the filming of the Harry Potter movie being delayed. Unfortunately, this is bad news and not just because it will delay the movie from coming out. According to an article in today’s Observer, the star of the movie Daniel Radcliffe was only licensed to film the movie until the end of March. Warner Bros. will have to apply for an extension and according to Daniel’s Education Authority Hammersmith and Fulham (an Education Authority is the equivalent to the state Department of Education in the US), “we have categorically not agreed on an extension for the extra days yet, and in fact we have not seen an application for an extension”. Warner Bros. claims to have a legal team working hard on this issue but frankly I’m amazed it was allowed to get this far. There’s a lot of other interesting tidbits in this article including another confirmation of Rik Mayall in the movie and some info about Chamber of Secrets.
