The Wizarding World Orlando is a re-creation of Hogsmeade and Hogwarts that opened at Universal's Islands of Adventure on June 18, 2010. An expansion into Universal Studios Florida recreating Diagon Alley and part of Muggle London opened July 8, 2014, with a Hogwarts Express ride combining the two parks together.
The Hogsmeade side of the World includes flagship ride The Forbidden Journey, as well as smaller rides, Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippogriff. Other attractions include Ollivanders, The Three Broomsticks, The Hog's Head, Honeydukes, Dervish and Banges, Filch's Emporium, and Owl Post.
The Diagon Alley side of the World includes Escape from Gringotts, as well as shops and pubs such as Weasleys' Wizarding Wheezes, Borgin and Burkes, Madam Malkin's, Ollivanders, Magical Menagerie, Quality Quidditch Supplies, Wiseacre's Wizarding Equipment, Florean Fortescue's, and the famous Leaky Cauldron. Both sides of the park sell Butterbeer, pumpkin juice, traditional British fare in the pubs, and various sweets and treats from the Harry Potter books. There are a number of live entertainment shows. You can read about Leaky's visit here.
Wizarding World Hollywood at Universal Studios' Hollywood theme park in California opened on April 7th 2016. It boasts the Hogwarts Castle, as well as signature Forbidden Journey and Flight of the Hippogriff rides fashioned after the ones at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando. Honeydukes, The Three Broomsticks and Ollivanders also feature, amongst many other attractions.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened to the world on July 15, 2014 at the Japan branch of Universal Studios Parks and Resorts. Like the park in Orlando, Japan offers attractions such as Hogwarts castle, where you can explore the classrooms and corridors of the infamous castle.
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey will also be a staple at the park in Japan, as it has won several Golden Ticket Awards for “Best Dark Ride” in 2013, the 17th annual Thea Award for “Outstanding Achievement Award”, the Theme Park Insider 2010 “Best New Attraction” at the Islands of Adventure in Orlando. Japan also offers Flight of the Hippogriff, a full-fledged roller coaster ride for enthusiasts.
Those who are feeling a little peckish can walk down Hogsmeade and enjoy a meal at the Three Broomsticks, sip on some Butterbeer at the Hog’s Head and cater to your sweet tooth at Honeydukes.
Also, in the Hogsmeade village, there are quite a few shops such as Honeydukes, Ollivanders, Zonko’s Joke Shop and Filch’s Emporium of Confiscated Goods.
