Leaky Staff

Leaky is undergoing a complete overhaul of staffing! Stay tuned here for more. Meanwhile here are the main site staffers keeping things going:

Melissa Anelli

Webmistress

Blog ~ Facebook ~ Twitter

Melissa Anelli is the New York Times Best Selling author of Harry, A History. A former NYC news reporter, she joined the Leaky staff in 2001 and has had a ball serving as its webmistress. She is a graduate of Georgetown University, and currently writing her second book, a novel. She co-runs LeakyCon, which is quickly becoming one of the fastest-growing fan events in the world.

In Melissa's free (ha!) time she works on more projects than she can handle, sees more theater than she can afford and consumes more coffee than is healthy for anyone.

Her first book, Harry, a History, has been published in more than eight countries and four languages. It is also available as an audiobook in English and German. You can find more info at harryahistory.com.

Her personal site is at penbitten.com, and you can also get updates via Twitter and Facebook.

John Noe

Creative Director
John Noe has been with Leaky since 2003. He was also the lead host and main producer of PotterCast. How did he ever get into this "Potter stuff?" The thanks/blame lay with his siblings: Anna, Maria, Melissa, Allison, GoodOle Steve, little Charlie.

Edward Drogos

Senior Site Editor

Edward Drogos is a twenty-two year old student and writer from Chicago, Illinois. He first discovered the Harry Potter series in 1999, and was honored to join the Leaky staff in 2005. Starting as a PotterCast Transcription Elf, he soon became Leaky's News Editor, and, then, its Senior Site Editor. Additionally, Edward serves as a member of the LeakyCon Board of Directors, overseeing the Media and Communications arm for our 2011 conference in Orlando, Florida. When not working on Leaky, he enjoys sales at bookshops, Eddie Izzard, anything made by Apple, working through his Netflix queue, and visiting Los Angeles as often as possible.

Brad Ausrotas

News Editor

Brad Ausrotas was was born and raised in the proud nation of Canada. He is a writer, musician, gamer, huge nerd, and chaotic neutral. He is a fan of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, and fast cars. He is also a managing editor at LeakyNews.com.

Catherine Horvath

News Editor

Catherine Horvath was born and raised to live and breathe Harry Potter. She became a fan in 1998 and has been hooked ever since, with fond memories of the midnight releases of Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows parts one and two. She met one of her best friends at LeakyCon 2009, has gone to the Harry Potter Exhibition in Chicago and vacationed in Florida to see the Wizarding World theme park. She is a proud Hufflepuff, while her Twin sister, in Patil style, was sorted into Gryffindor. Catherine is an honors level freshman at Indiana University where she will be working as hard as Hermione does on a dual degree (English with a concentration in Creative Writing and Business Marketing).

Bio coming soon!

Sarah Wilkes

Leaky Angel
Sarah Wilkes is a programmer analyst from Kansas. She grew up reading Sherlock Holmes and has always enjoyed a good mystery, so that's what drew her to the Harry Potter books in 2002 and kept her sleuthing online with others for many years. Sarah joined The Leaky Cauldron staff in 2005 as a Chamber of Chat moderator - helping Leaky Lounge members to learn how to use that site. She loved her years as a Leaky Corner Booth discussion moderator and PotterCast transcriber, and currently loves doing odds and ends for LeakyCon's logistics team.

Andrew Hanson

Leaky Angel
Andrew Hanson is an English and piano teacher, composer and blogger from northwestern Minnesota. He credits Harry Potter as being one of the main reasons why he’s in the English teaching profession today. He vividly remembers reading (and falling in love from) the very first page of Sorcerer’s Stone in 9th grade (2000). He is also a fan of The Lord of the Rings (and The Hobbit), John Green, Hunger Games, Narnia, Star Wars, Jurassic Park and Game of Thrones, to name a few. Andrew has also been working for LeakyCon as the Main Stage Volunteer Coordinator since 2012. And yes, he does realize that he looks a bit like Hank Green.

More Leaky Team Bios to be updated soon. :)
