Chase of Harrypotter7.net tells us that the first Bloomsbury newsletter has just been sent out (Bloomsbury is the British publisher of the HP series). The paperback edition of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will be released on July 6th 2001 in Britain, and to celebrate its release they are giving away a copy of the book “Holes” by Louis Sachar to the first 500 people that order it from their website!

On the Bloomsbury website, a poetry contest for year-4 children (8 and 9 year olds) has been started. The winner’s poem will be illustrated by Thomas Taylor – illustrator of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” – and will be published on Bloomsburymagazine.com together with a selection of the poems. The winning child will keep the original artwork, framed with their poem and will also win £250 worth of Bloomsbury books for their school. Ten runners-up will receive boxed set editions of the Harry Potter books.
