To end all speculations about length and details of the movie, here is what the British Board of Film Classification says:
“When submitted to the BBFC the work had a running time of 152m 13s (2 hours, 32 minutes, 13 seconds). This work was passed with no cuts made. Classified 23 October, 2001.” The board gave Harry and the Hogwarts gang a PG rating, which means unaccompanied children of any age may watch, and that it should not disturb a child aged around 8 or older. Parents are advised to consider whether it might upset younger or more sensitive children.
