Again, it’s nothing we haven’t heard before, but a Reuters article on bookseller Barnes and Noble states that the company’s fourth-quarter outlook had … “previously assumed a new Harry Potter at Christmas, which is not going to happen now.”

From InternetNews.com comes this article on Warner Bros’ web promotion for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets:

Warner Bros. said the initial Harrypotter.com site saw 25 million unique visitors last year, when the studio released Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. The site also garnered one million newsletter signups. Now, with a relaunched HarryPotter.com, Warner Bros. is looking to expand the effort, again tapping DNA Studio as its interactive agency for the work.

In terms of new additions, the site will feature a new animated short film and an interactive game. The studio also said it plans to launch Wizard Duels, a game that visitors can play against each other, and a virtual “House Elf,” who will send users’ e-mail messages and do other online chores.
