Drumroll, please….: First of all – thank you, thank you to everyone who sent us designs for the site. We received well over a hundred mock-ups of our site, and it was incredibly eye-opening. We have taken so long making a decision because it was pretty near impossible to do so with the talent that you guys sent us. We are thinking about posting a gallery of some of our favorites, so that you may all share in our joy over our readers’ brilliance. I also want to give very special praise to Priscilla and Alice’s submission, because while we couldn’t use it as a design, the image provided us with a whole lotta giggles

At the end, we went with a strong, striking design that maintains the simple functionality of our current site, keeps the atmosphere fun and friendly, gives us some versatility for the future, and will continue to allow the page to load quickly. Finding all of these characteristics in one design was no easy feat, and we are thrilled with the one we’ve chosen, which will be unveiled soon. For now, say hello to Natalie McKeever, The Leaky Cauldron’s new designer!

Nataie McKeever is 16 years old and is excited to be able to bring her artistic talents and love of the Harry Potter books to the readers at the Leaky Cauldron. She has extended experience with web design and has made sites for Natalie, a jewelry business, Original Irish Dance Art as well as her own Harry Potter site, The Magical Land of Harry Potter, which won recognition from BBC Online and This is London for being one of the top Harry Potter sites on the web.

Welcome, Natalie!
